NORDIS is a shipping supplier that sells and distributes produce fresh each day. Our buyers are primarily catering firms and shipping companies managing their own operations. Due to the fact that our range consists mainly of fruit and vegetables, we know our way around vegetable auctions and wholesale markets. We are always looking for innovative produce that we are happy to bring to your attention.
Using our young and modern fleet of lorries, we deliver to straight in front of the ship. Our lorries have several compartments in which the temperature can be set separately. Temperatures are continuously measured and recorded in transit and on delivery the customer receives a report on this. Furthermore, our vehicles are fitted with a track & trace system, as a result of which we are always able to tell you where your order is. NORDIS works in accordance with the HACCP standards and this entails (for example) a thorough periodic cleaning of our lorries. We strive to have our people and our lorries make a positive contribution to your company image.
Due to our many years of experience we understand the needs of our customers: quality, reliability, flexibility, contactability, provision of information, innovation and logistics running smoothly are minimum requirements in the cruise world.
NORDIS tries to think with you and to offer customer-oriented solutions wherever possible. Our produce constitutes a great complement to the range offered by your main supplier of dry groceries. We would like to convince you of this and, unsurprisingly, we will seize any opportunity to be able to prove this.
It takes a lot of energy and resources to get fresh raspberries or green beans outside the Dutch season on the ships. But that is not visible to the product. NORDIS helps you in making sustainable choices.
Before your fruits and vegetables end up in your store a lot of effort has been put into the cultivation, packaging and transport. Which is largely generated from fossil fuels and produces greenhouse gases. The space for farmland counts for the final environmental impact. On the products is not visible which yields the least environmental impact. We integrated our product list with the fruit and vegetable calendar of Milieu Centraal: it relates environmental classes to the total environmental impact of the production, transportation and packaging. Fruit and vegetables in environmental class A and B cause the least environmental impact, environmental products in Class D and E most.
The fruit and vegetable calendar of Milieu Centraal indicates per month and country of origin the environmental class of a product. The country of origin of a product is stated on both our website and invoice.
